Hurricane Sandy Update

Hi.

John Cafarelli, Founder and President of Ernest Supplies writing with a short update to our customers about Hurricane Sandy.

Ernest HQ. Ernest Supplies’ headquarters are located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City at 175 Varick Street. We’re a few blocks from the Hudson River and several of the streets in the neighborhood were flooded during the storm. We’re on the third floor, so, I’m pretty confident there was no damage to any of our equipment or inventory but the entirety of lower Manhattan remains without power and, as a result, our office building is closed indefinitely (we’re hoping no later than the end of the week).

Ernest Orders. As always, THANK YOU for your business. Our web shop remains open for business and we’re so thrilled that many of you continue to place orders. It’s not our style to make you wait (we hate waiting too!) so, as soon as we’re able to gain access to our inventory, we’re going to pack and ship your orders. We’ll literally work day and night to get every order fulfilled as soon as we can. Thank you so much for your understanding and support.

Ernest Website. We had planned to launch our awesome new holiday tool kits on November 1 – we’re pushing that out to Monday, November 5, so, keep an eye out. We think you’re going to love them! Other than that, it should be business as usual. Keep an eye on our BLOG for updates and some exciting news in the coming weeks.

Thanks. Our primary concern is that every member of the Ernest family is safe and sound – of course that includes our team, customers and the broader community of supporters. Stay safe. Be careful. And lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need if you can!

John & the Ernest Supplies Team
